Triangle of Accountability/Part 2

Triangle of Accountability/Part 2

What the Triangle of Accountability looks like in practicality:

There are different factors that determine the speed at which a player develops:

  1. The player’s ability to process complex information
  2. The players follow through with the coach’s detailed practice workouts
  3. How often the player makes time for practice
  4. The player has to focus on deliberate(focus on details) practice. There can be no shortcuts for comfort as training creates friction naturally
  5. Parents need to be heavily involved in the process throughout. What I mean is when parents are actively engaged in watching the sessions or involve in some way via participation or filming the sessions, the outcome ratio of success is very high as the players feed off the level of commitment parents show towards the training
  6. The coach’s responsibility is video analysis, continuous feedback during the session, and filming segments of the sessions as a blueprint of what to practice at home
  7. There is always open communication to the coach for clarity if the player doesn’t understand or remembers what to practice specifically at home. The parent or player can reach out to the coach without hesitation for a resolution.
  8. If these things listed are implemented and the collaboration maintains for all parties involved, the development is certain in a timely manner
