Triangle of Accountability/ Part 1

The System of Coaching:

Coaching is a system between the coach, parent, and the player. In order to produce maximum results the coach has to accurately diagnose, guide, give feedback, and solutions to help correct the mechanical errors. The parents invest financially, making sure the player gets to each scheduled session and holds the player accountable for what happens between sessions. The player is responsible for following through with practicing on what the coach recommends.

If any part of that system breaks down at any time there is delay in the outcome or results. The coach’s job is to communicate throughout and to address any issues as they arise and help towards prompt resolutions.

There will be times when the player does not feel well enough to train. It is best to communicate that to the coach before the scheduled session as soon as possible. In most cases the session will be canceled or rescheduled. It is never good to train if the player is unwell as those types of sessions are never productive.

It is important that parents communicate promptly whenever there will be conflicts in the schedule and to try and keep the scheduling as consistent as possible. There will be times when canceling is unavoidable as things will arise unexpectedly and during times of family vacationing.

Skills build with consistency so sticking to the schedule as much as possible will insure that development occurs on time.

Players to build mastery practice is not an option,it is a must.Motivation is short lived and is dependent on emotions. Discipline is showing up regardless of how one feels and ding the work anyway. It is the only way to achieve mastery.
